Jasmine! That is gorgeous - the color, the shape, the design! I love the contrast between the felt and the filmy material behind it.

I'm always inspired by you to see what can be created with felt - thank you!

What a beautiful scarfette! Is it dyed with colour from echinacea? I do not know much about the plant - will have to look it up!

Gosh Jasmine,

This is from the Purple Cone Flower Echinacea? Or some other type. Stuff grows all over the place around here. The color is so bright, and it holds?
Very nice.
Thanks.

Thank you all for your comments.

Beverly - lovely to see you here.

Phoenix & Andy - No, this wool is not dyed with echinacea. I do love dyig with vegetables, berries, plants and flowers but that is something I am still learning. On this occasion I named the scarfette Echinacea as that is thwe flower i have made (I think magnus). There are many varieties of this cone flower. I'm not sure if it would work as a dye or not, be sure to let me know if you ever find out :)

Wow, aren't you extremely talented?!? Yes, yes you are!

Thanks for stopping by my "secret" blog. Only a couple of my friends know I have it. So, I'm techincally on the down low. LOL.

I visited the UK for the first time ever this past May. Mostly London. I very much enjoyed taking note of day to day differences in everyday life. And NANDOS with the Peri Peri sauces, I crave!

gorgeous. I keep trying to grow echinacea but the snails love them so....

btw, I have a bumper crop of myrtle berries this year - do you know if they are good for dying with?

Jasmine said...

Hi Lettuce, I have only attempted dying with nettle, blackberry, spinach & eetroot, and turmeric powder before. But there are some great websites out there. The ones below say bog myrtle makes good for yellow. Not sure if that is the type of myrtle you have?

The scarfette is not dyed with echinacea, i called it that because the flower design is taken from a picture of echinacea. Didn't mean to mislead there :)
