Just a quick note to say thank you all for your well wishes with my house hunting. Sorry I have not time to reply to you all individually.
Here are some pictures of my latest nuno felted scarf embroidered using some of the eastern techniques. The silk was solar dyed with onion skins with the exception of a little silk layering at the ends which was dyed in a bath of daffodils. The merino wool was dyed in onion skins. The chocolate coloured spots are the natural tones of vicuna fibre.
Have a wonderful week end and enjoy the heat wave xJ

Thank you Martine. Your comments always make me smile. I am really excited about viewing the cottage in Wales. It is stone, with an outhouse that may be suitable for studio work, we will see, but most importantly it is close to my grandparents. The whole Island of Anglesey is like a dye garden with yarrow, oak galls, foxgloves, vervain that grows like a week, nettles, blackberries, I could go on and never stop. A Natural dye heaven.
I hope all is good with you sweet one and you have this wonderful sunshine too xxJ
Oh how wonderful, this is gorgeous and I love the veil like quality. Embroidery really adds a wonderful element and those flowers- oh i love them too.
Thank you Tammie, I really enjoy needlework, especially now I have so many insppirational sources to refer to. Shame it takes me so long, I think I will have to restrict the embroidered projects for much loved friends and family xxJ
Wow, love the color combo on this.
Love these wonderful colours. Enjoy your house hunting in the sunshine!

This is sublime, Jasmine. I just know that you'll find the house that is perfect for you ... I am beginning my search for a new place to live, too ... when I was a girl my mom had a friend who was from Wales and he'd tell us stories about it there and I thought it sounded like the most beautiful place to live! I imagine it is. Enjoy your weekend, xo.

I'm always amazed by the wonderful colours, which come from nature. Your creativity is inspiring, Jasmine. Sending you all good wishes and abundance. Much love and sparkling light. xx

The material and technique you used for your nuno scarf is so unique. I love the natural shades and the texture is amazing.
Good luck on your search in northern Wales. Unfortunately, I will be traveling through south Wales on my journey to the UK in late June and probably won't be able to hook up with you..also, I'll be on one of those "rush through" tours. Can't wait to see and feel the beauty of Wales.
they are fantastic , the onion skins idea blowed my mind !!
