Autumn Trove

Autumn is in the air
The magical scent of Pines
The flowery beauty of the Beech husks crunching under foot
The gentle breezes complimenting the magnificent autumn sun

Holly looking her finest
Magical berries of Yew, Hawthorn, Elder
The Blackberry, Blueberry, Plum and Sloe
Acorns, Hazels, Horse Chestnuts, Sweet Chestnuts

A time for stocking up
A time for letting go
A time of new horizons
An eagerness to learn

Changing colours from green, to red, to gold
The Scattering of leaves
A great time to teach the wisdom of the trees
Of identification, recognition

Playful squirrels, fox cubs, migrating birds
The bustling season
Excitement all around
Changes...

My favourite time of year

I think I'm adjusting. Starting to think about apples, though letting go of the stone fruit is hard...

Hi Jasmine,

Very pretty autumn pictures! Summer's green is still around. Today I saw two large flights of birds, geese, moving south.

Artsparker - Luckily Autumn gives us her warmest sun and brightest colours before the weather turns. Making the transition as kind and beautiful as possible :)

Caio - You are kind. I would love to see Brazil as you describe it on your mountainside with Jinny :)

Velvetwoods - You are Australian, I thought you were American, don't ask me why.Spring is beautiful, so full of magic and anticipation. I find myself with eyes glued to the ground looking to see what will burst out of the earth first...

Jenny - Migrating geese, how wonderful. A gift for the eyes.

There is something about Autumn and you have managed to capture her enchantment, with your words and pictures.

i enjoy the after-summer-time, the days between the summer en the real autumn.
it is really nice walking in the woods, the trees, still green but soon changing the colors of their leaves.
you can feel, smel and see it:))

Love the photos. I was trimming some pine trees in my yard today. The pine scent was heavenly. Love that aroma of the wood, of the sacrifice, the sap. Still, autumn is my favorite time of the year.

This is my favorite time of year. Each morning you can see and smell the changes happening, And of course the squirrels are in power mode of collecting for the winter months ahead.
Thanks for the additional link on tree lore...I know it will be useful.

Lovely description of Autumn - love the references to the berries, and the photos. I like to stand and enjoy all the different scents in the woods, and that lovely atmosphere.
